About Miami Spice Soccer...

Back in 2018 my buddy and I were sitting around the pool at his magnificent home in South Florida, probably smoking cigars but certainly with full wine glasses in hand, discussing the latest South Florida sporting development. The news had broken, (maybe bended is more apt), that a very famous footballer from Britain had purchased the Miami professional soccer team. As we were both familiar with his wife, as well world famous, as a singer and general influencer, we thought there is a natural nickname for this team: Miami Spice.

Fast forward to the summer of 2023. Obviously for a few years the team has toiled to remain relevant, especially considering the success of so many South Florida teams, (ie., Heat, Panthers, FAU and U of M basketball). But, when the news leaked that possibly a famous footballer was accepting an offer to come play in Miami all heck erupted, ticket sales surged, the current stadium is attempting to add seats prompting talk of a new larger stadium, daily news reports, etc.

So clearly a new era in South Florida sports had begun. And once again my buddy and I were sitting around the pool at his magnificent new home in South Florida, probably smoking cigars but certainly with full wine glasses in hand, discussing the latest South Florida sporting development when he said to me, “darn good idea we had back that evening in 2018”. And I said, “guess what I secured the day after: drumroll please… the URL for miamispicesoccer”!

Now, of course, we can’t let it go at that! Too much fun to be had. Let’s get the kids together and put on a show!!! Or something like that. Let’s get a design from a pro, lets do a top-notch web site, let’s get some shirts to give out, lets have our youngest “kid” go to the South Florida clubs and get some video for social media, lets do some targeted digital marketing and lets gauge the response to this brand. Either it’s a great design and a great secondary off the counter nickname or maybe it becomes somehow associated with the real team. Only time will tell, but for now, “LETS GO MIAMISPICESOCCER.com”!!
